Welcome Volunteers of All Skill Levels & Experience!
As a small non-profit, we rely on the time and talents of our wonderful volunteer community. Our volunteers help with everything from feeding and mucking to grooming and training. It takes a village to run Allegiance Ranch and our village rocks!
Volunteer Orientation
To ensure the safety of our volunteers and horses, volunteers must participate in an orientation session before they begin volunteering. Training includes an introduction to the rescue horses, barn chores, and basic horse handling.
A few important things to note:
- No prior experience is necessary.
- We welcome volunteers of all ages, however a parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 14.
- Closed-toe shoes are required when working at the ranch.
- Companion animals (service animals excepted) are not permitted on the ranch for their safety and the safety of our animals.

Volunteer Duties & Hours
We hold open volunteer hours at the ranch five days a week. Volunteers are encouraged to stop in during these hours to participate in daily chores like mucking and grooming. Hours do change seasonally with the time change, currently our volunteer hours are as follows:
- Mondays: 9:00 – 11:00 AM
- Tuesdays: 3:30 – 5:30 PM
- Wednesdays: 9:00 – 11:00 AM
- Thursdays: 9:00 – 11:00 AM
- Saturdays: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
